The Society at Kate Spade

Kate Spade New York was filled with 150 young people on Thursday night, eager to do their bit for charity whilst sipping champagne and indulging on macaroons. The Society of Young Philanthropists held the event to raise money for several local charities, including Walking with the Wounded, the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, and the Sara Charlton Charity. There was a raffle and donations aplenty, with over £1,500 being raised. Committee members Antonia and Tessa Packard, Christiana Hambro and Lexi Abrams set the floor alight with sales of raffle tickets and stories of philanthropy, whilst Rob Sancroft-Baker, George Askew and John Pitts delighted their companions with cheeky anecdotes of why to give. A lot was learnt, a lot was raised. A lot of numbers were exchanged, too. See, charity can be fun.
